As part of the ninth package of sanctions against Russia for its attack on Ukraine, the European Union imposed a complete ban on operations with the All-Russian Regional Development Bank and froze the assets of two more Russian banks, according to a press release on the Council of the European Union's website.
In addition, the European Union initiated the suspension of the broadcasting of the Russian television channels NTV, NTV Mir, Rossiya 1, REN TV and First Channel on its territory.
According to the ninth package of sanctions, EU citizens are prohibited from holding positions in the governing bodies of Russian-controlled legal entities and organizations in Russia.
Brussels will also extend the ban on the export of aviation-related goods and technologies, including drones, to Russia.
A ban has been introduced on new investments in the Russian energy and mining sectors.
On December 5, the eighth package of European Union sanctions against Russia entered into force, which includes the introduction of a marginal price for Russian oil transported by tankers.
The ban does not yet apply to pipeline oil.
Russia has declared that it will refuse to supply oil and oil products to countries that will introduce a price ceiling.
However, at this moment, Moscow has not announced any specific decisions.
