The Supreme Court has refused to hear a petition demanding removal of the ban imposed by the High Court on increasing OBC reservation from 14% to 27% for admission in government jobs and educational institutions in Madhya Pradesh.

Expressing displeasure, the Supreme Court said that if you do not withdraw the petition, we will impose a fine.

In fact, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has put a stay on the government's decision to increase OBC reservation in government jobs and educational institutions during the Kamal Nath government.

Against the decision of the High Court, petitioner Jaya Thakur had filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding removal of the ban of the High Court.

It was said in the petition that due to this ban of the High Court, recruitment in government jobs has stopped in the last 4 years.
