Today is another day of the strike wave that is sweeping Great Britain.

An unprecedented 24-hour strike by nurses was held on Thursday.

Train travelers have been hit hardest this week after rail workers staged a 48-hour strike on Tuesday and Wednesday.

However, there is a new such strike planned for today and tomorrow.

Only one in five trains were running, so passengers were advised to seek alternative travel.

Railway workers are today joined by bus drivers and highway workers.

Airport loaders and unloaders are on strike today, Saturday and Sunday.

Unprecedented strike by nurses in Great Britain

Meanwhile, the strike has ended for nurses who have expressed their anger that they are simply being forced to take these unwanted actions in order to get better pay.

However, the government says it cannot afford the 19% increase they are asking for.

Nurses believe that this rate has been taken away from their wages over the past decade and that being applauded during the Covid-19 pandemic and now for the care provided is not paying the bills.

Another strike is planned for December 20, and more strike action is likely to follow after the New Year.
