An international conference on "The problem of deportation of peoples in the world in the example of Azerbaijanis: current situation and problems" was held under the organization of the Baku Club of Political Scientists.

APA informs that the conference was attended by high-ranking representatives of diplomatic missions operating in Azerbaijan - embassies of the United States of America, the European Union, Israel, Morocco, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as local and foreign experts. opinions were exchanged about deportation from the territory.

French expert Maxime Gauin, a researcher of the Institute of Development and Diplomacy, as well as a joint professor of ADA University, talked about his research on the deportation of Azerbaijanis in 1918-20, talked about the policy of ethnic cleansing carried out by Armenian nationalists against Azerbaijanis, and presented new facts.
