The
USA
plans to transfer to Ukraine a set of modern Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) electronic equipment, which is capable of turning unguided aviation munitions into "smart bombs".
This was reported by
The Washington Post
.
Sources of the publication among high-ranking American officials reported that thanks to "smart bombs" the Ukrainian military will be able to accurately hit enemy positions.
The message does not indicate whether US President Joe Biden has approved the transfer of a set of JDAM equipment to Ukraine.
"The delivery of the JDAM will be another important step by Washington to help Ukraine repel invading Russian forces, providing a new way to target Russian units and headquarters," the paper writes.
The Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) package is GPS-based and converts conventional aerial bombs into all-weather and guided munitions.
It will be recalled that it was previously reported that Western countries are considering the possibility of transferring fighter jets to Ukraine in
order to ensure the superiority of the Armed Forces over the Russian occupiers and put an end to the war
.
In addition, we previously informed that the
Czech Republic will start producing weapons for Ukraine in large quantities
