The European Parliament recognized the Holodomor as a genocide against the Ukrainian people.

APA reports that a resolution was adopted in this regard today in the European Parliament.

507 parliamentarians voted in favor of the resolution, and 12 parliamentarians voted against it.

It should be noted that the Holodomor is related to the mass famine that prevailed in Ukraine during the Soviet Union in 1932-1933.

It is estimated that millions of Ukrainians died of hunger during those events.
