[Reporter Xie Junlin/Taipei Report] The 6th session of the 10th Legislative Yuan will end at the end of the month. Since the 2012 Central Government Budget is still pending, the ruling and opposition parties and groups have reached a consensus after negotiations today (15th), and the session will be postponed. The meeting will end on January 13, 2012. During the postponement period, the committee will be suspended, and the hospital will be held every day.

The ruling and opposition parties of the Legislative Yuan negotiated five proposals today, including the "Draft Law on Retirement Salary and Compensation for Civil Servants' Individual Account System". Once the special budget and time-sensitive major bills have been dealt with, this time there will be no interim meeting to deal with it. During the postponed meeting, there will be a court meeting instead of a committee.

However, Zeng Mingzong, the head of the Kuomintang League, believes that committees can also be held during the postponed meeting.

Ke Jianming thinks "no need", because after the committee has reviewed the bill, if the government and the opposition are to negotiate, it will take a one-month freezing period before it can be processed.

He also mentioned that the postponement of the meeting and the centralism of the committee are two different things, and the general budget and other bills are only dealt with during the postponement.

After discussion, the ruling and opposition party groups reached a consensus in the meeting, and the session will be postponed until January 13, 2012; during the postponement, the committee will be suspended, and the academy will be held every day.
