Advisor to the President's Office, Oleksiy Arestovich, believes that the major offensive that Russia is probably planning for January-February 2023 could be its last.

This was discussed on December 15 in an interview with Russian human rights defender Mark Feigin.

"I have reasonable doubts. Therefore, it seems to me that this is Russia's last big blow. And let's say that after this failure, the long-awaited processes, that is, the crisis, will begin. They went to extremes, but for the third time, I very much doubt, they will be able to carry out this kind of attack. If it will happen, then it will be half-hearted, because they will lose everything until the end," Arestovych said.

He emphasized that the main task for the Ukrainian army is to repel a new potential offensive of the Russian army.

"The main thing is to repel this offensive, to play our game.

The game is there, it is planned

- we look at the words of Zaluzhnyi. Then we will keep the potential for the offensive," added Arestovych.

Repeated offensive of the Russian Federation in January-February

On December 15, in an interview with a British publication, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, said that Russia was stockpiling people and weapons for a new offensive.

According to him, the occupiers will either attack Kyiv again from the north, or intensify their attacks on Donbas, or advance in the south.

Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov also warned about the threat of a new offensive by the Russian Federation.

In his opinion, Russia can start a new wave of offensive already in February.

In an interview with TSN.ua, Deputy Director of the Army, Conversion and Disarmament Research Center for International Affairs Mykhailo Samus noted that there are not many directions left in the Russian Federation in which to advance.

Samus singles out the Zaporizhia direction, Donetsk and Luhansk regions and does not rule out threats from Belarus.
