Today, December 15, in one of the villages of the Sniguriv district of the Mykolaiv region, two men were blown up by

landmines

One of them died, and the second was hospitalized.

This was reported by the chief of the police of the Mykolaiv region, Serhii Shaikhet.

"The man found two anti-personnel mines left behind by the Russian military. A 26-year-old local resident brought the find home and started showing it to his friend - the shells detonated, the man died on the spot from his injuries," he said.

A 33-year-old friend who was nearby suffered multiple injuries, and now doctors are fighting for his life.

"Dear residents of the liberated areas! Once again, I remind you to follow the rules of personal safety. Do not touch dangerous finds or approach them, because they can detonate at any moment. Immediately call specialists on 102 or 101. Do not expose yourself and loved ones to danger. Work on demining the liberated territories continues," the regional police chief informed.
