Bulgaria needs a responsible and regular government that will lead the country through the challenges and continue to build - for the people.

The country needs a government that is ready to take political responsibility for its actions, to stand with its true face in front of the Bulgarian citizens and work decisively for their interests and needs.

With the second term "Continuing the Change", with the support of "Democratic Bulgaria", we are ready to offer a minority government with clear priorities and guarantees that will show whether the parties represented in parliament are ready to work and solve people's problems or pursue other goals .

This was announced by the press service of "We continue the change".

Here are the priorities indicated by the political parties:

Asen Vasilev: With DB we will present a minority cabinet

- To reduce inequality in Bulgaria by continuing our social policy towards the most needy.

A dignified way of life should not be reserved only for the chosen few and those close to power, but should belong to all Bulgarian citizens as their basic right.

- To support business not only by maintaining low taxes, but also by the long-awaited reduction of administrative burden and corruption risk.

- To increase trust in democracy, the legal order and the electoral process in Bulgaria.

The concepts of "legality" and "justice" should apply to everyone, no one is above the law.

- Let's enter Schengen in 2023 - we Bulgarians deserve to be full-fledged Europeans, without intra-European restrictions.

To enter the Eurozone from January 1, 2024. Time to end bank supervision of the transition, time to end transactional bank fees for our exporters, time for currency risk to drop as a factor when investing in Bulgaria.

"Unfortunately, in this parliament, trust between political parties is at a record low. The last 2 months are indicative of the lack of this trust and the lack of a stable parliamentary majority with clear principles and priorities. In these conditions and without breaking the promise we gave to voters let's not get into backroom deals, we realize that a minority government would hardly be able to exist and work successfully. The only way to overcome this political impasse is through concrete actions in the parliament itself in front of the Bulgarian citizens. From the Speaker of the Parliament , the entire legislative program and work priorities of the 48th National Assembly depend on the PG of the GERB-SDS, Mr. Rashidov, but the chairmen of the standing parliamentary committees and the deputies in the hall also have a role.If the political parties want to prove with deeds the presence of the political will to work for the specified national tasks, let the chairmen of committees and the deputies in the hall work to consider the really important bills that have already been introduced", the press release also states.

Here's who they are:

Reducing inequality

In the 2023 budget, lay down a new increase in pensions, an increase in tax credits for young families, raising the minimum wage, as well as the salaries of teachers, doctors and nurses, subject to a 3% budget deficit.

Improving the conditions for business

the draft laws under the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability, which should be considered as a priority and, if possible, in a shorter period of time in order to timely absorb the European funds due to Bulgaria.

Increasing trust in democracy in Bulgaria, the legal order and the electoral process

Adoption of changes in the Criminal Procedure Code, which enable investigative bodies to initiate pre-trial proceedings, as well as to request the court to carry out certain investigative actions, without being entirely dependent on the prosecution.

Adoption of the Draft Law on KPCONPI with investigative functions and leadership, which is proposed by the Council of Ministers and elected by the National Assembly;

Submission of a proposal to amend the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria to abolish the unlimited power of the Prosecutor General (repeal of Article 126, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Procedure Code) and other necessary changes.

Acceptance of the President's veto of changes to the Electoral Code to reverse the undemocratic amendments passed in the wee hours of the night over the past 2 months.

Schengen in 2023 and entry into the Eurozone in 2024.

Adoption of the relevant amendments to the laws regulating the procedure for the election of chairmen of the security services (DANS, DAR, NSO, Military Intelligence and the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs).

"To build capacity to deal with the challenges and obstacles to our entry into Schengen and the Eurozone, in addition to clear support for laws to deal with problems in the judiciary and with corruption, the minority government must be able to reform services so that the executive to be able to appoint and lead them effectively. Unprecedentedly, already 2 months after the elections, Bulgaria does not have an elected regular government. Transparent and decisive actions are needed, and time is running out. Therefore, if you are ready to work together on the important priorities for Bulgaria, the first real steps to confirm this will and prove it in practice would be the scheduling in committees and the voting in a hall of: a) the law on KPCONPI, b) the rejection of the changes in the Electoral Code,c) acceptance of our proposals for changes in the laws for the services and d) budget", the PP also states.

"We invite you tomorrow at the President's Council to discuss the schedule for priority consideration of the above bills and to stand behind the call to the President to ensure sufficient parliamentary time before the handing over of the second mandate for the political groups in the 48th Parliament to show through their deeds in hall whether they are ready to work for a regular government or want to push the country towards new elections," reads the letter, which was personally signed by the chairman of the PG n PP Andrey Gyurov.
