In January-November of this year, 34,418.9 thousand tons of oil were transported through main oil pipelines in Azerbaijan, which is 7.4% more than the corresponding indicator of 2021.

According to the information provided to "APA-Economics" by the State Statistics Committee, 78.8% of the transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline, 27,121 thousand tons of oil were transferred through the pipeline during the reporting period (2021 12.5% ​​more than the corresponding indicator).

According to information, during the reporting period, 4,668.9 thousand tons of transit oil (45.36% more than the previous year) were transported through the BTC pipeline.

It should be recalled that last year 35,018 thousand tons of oil were transported through main oil pipelines in Azerbaijan, which is 0.86% more than the figure of 2020.

75.5% of the transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline, 26,421.5 thousand tons of oil were transferred through the pipeline last year (3.85% less than in 2020).

During the reporting period, 3,598.4 thousand tons of transit oil (7.4% less) were also transported through the BTC pipeline.

It should be noted that BTC was started to be filled with oil on May 6, 2005, and the first tanker loaded with export crude oil transported through this pipeline was launched on June 4, 2006.
