The President partially vetoed the adopted amendments to the Electoral Code.

The veto is quite well-founded and draws serious attention to the fact that, in practice, the accepted amendments render the machine vote meaningless and, accordingly, create dangers for violating the secrets of the vote, as well as the correct counting of the vote.

This was stated on the sidelines of the parliament by the deputy from "Democratic Bulgaria

"Democratic Bulgaria" is a center-right political association composed of former Justice Minister Nadezhda Yordanova

Nadezhda Yordanova graduated from the Sofia University "St.

Kliment Ohridski", which commented on the veto imposed by President Radev on part of the changes in the Electoral Code.

Rumen Radev vetoed part of the changes in the Electoral Code

"I hope that the National Assembly will thoroughly discuss the reasons for the decree and, accordingly, will listen to both the president and our arguments. I hope that the veto will not be rejected. We will continue to convince our opponents that the amendments are not good for the electoral process. At the same time, data came out that the majority of the Bulgarian people prefer to vote with machines. There is trust in citizens in voting as it was in the last elections. The low voter turnout is not due to the machines, but to the work done by the politicians." , she added.
