After the war started by Russia in Ukraine, Azerbaijan has become a very important energy partner of Europe.

APA reports that the German ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann said this in a discussion with students at ADA University.

He said that along with gas and oil resources, Azerbaijan also has renewable energy resources.

Ralf Horlemann noted that the opportunities for cooperation with Europe in this field are wide and are already emerging.

The ambassador added that the Russian-Ukrainian war affected traditional trade routes and communication.

Thus, the trade route between Europe and Asia through Russia has been limited.

"The Middle Corridor has already emerged and Azerbaijan has an important role here and there are wide opportunities for Azerbaijan," the diplomat stressed.
