Time is required for a new budget, so we can hope that if a cabinet is formed - there will be a new budget as well.

However, the formation, as we see, will be a difficult task.

It will take at least two or three months, so it is unlikely that a new budget will be adopted before March.

This was stated by the economist Vladimir Sirkarov on the air of Nova TV.

"Actually, there are ready-made options for different scenarios, but whether this new cabinet will recognize them is another matter. The budget must be discussed in the tripartite committee together with unions and employers, then approved by the ministerial committee and submitted to the parliament. in all cases, this cannot be done until the first of January, but it is possible to work with a 12th in January, if it is not extended", said the chairman of AIKB Vasil Velev.

Unions and businesses are starting to discuss the proposal for a BGN 770 minimum wage

Bulgaria is in first place in the entire EU in terms of minimum wage relative to the Gross Domestic Product per capita.

For what we produce, we have the highest minimum wage in the EU.

If this proposal for a BGN 850 minimum wage is accepted, adding the classes for time served, it will be greater than the average insurance income.

Then the prices in the shops will rise, but the market will not take it and rather they will go to the gray sector and people will be laid off, this opinion was expressed by the head of AIKB.

He added that 48% of businesses said they would raise prices, 16% would lay off people and 18% would be paid the same.

"That's how these economic activities are.

We have to work harder and better so that there are also higher salaries," Velev said.

Economist Vladimir Sirkarov stated that for some employers it would be no problem to raise the minimum wage to BGN 850, but for others it would be death.

"The minimum wage appears as a kind of support for the most vulnerable people.

In the private sector there are very serious differences and the process is very dynamic.

The saleswoman in a store in Sofia charges much more than the one in Silistra, and that's normal," said Sirkarov.

Vanya Grigorova, the economist from KT Podkrepa, continued to argue that it is correct to raise the minimum wage to BGN 850. However, she clarified that if this happens, people should not be afraid that then taxes will also be raised.

Grigorova also added that it is a crazy idea for the minimum wage to be the same in one region
