King Charles III attended a memorial and thanksgiving ceremony in the British Parliament today in honor of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II

Elizabeth II (in English: Elizabeth II), full name Elizabeth Alexandra Mary (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary) is a queen and who died in September, BTA reported.

As part of his visit, the monarch met Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the leader of the opposition Labor Party, Keir Starmer, as well as the Speakers of the House of Commons (the lower house of the British Parliament) and the House of Lords (the upper house).

He unveiled a plaque commemorating the late Queen at Westminster Hall, where around 250,000 people filed past her coffin in September.

Many of them waited hours into the night in a mile-long line to pay their respects.

Charles also attended the presentation of a gift by British lawmakers to mark the Queen's platinum jubilee, which was celebrated earlier this year before her death.

The gift was a pair of bronze lamps with the heraldic symbols of the United Kingdom, which Charles switched on to cheers and applause from MPs and spectators.
