For the sixth year in a row, the initiative of the British Embassy in Sofia "Ambassador for a Day" will be held under the patronage of Vice President Iliana Yotova

Iliana Malinova Yotova is a Bulgarian politician, 5th Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria.

This was announced by the press center of the Presidency. 

The competition, created by the former British ambassador to Bulgaria Emma Hopkins on the occasion of International Women's Day, encourages Bulgarian girls to express their views on a wide range of issues of importance to society and to develop their potential.

Over the past years, over 60 girls from all over Bulgaria had the opportunity to work with leaders in various fields and learn from their experience.

This year's theme for the competition is "Embracing Equality".

The question on which aspirants aged 14 to 18 will write an essay within 250 words is: If you were an ambassador for a day, how would you promote equality between women and men in Bulgaria?
