Along the entire line of contact, shelling of the positions of the Armed Forces and populated areas continues.
This is stated in the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"During the day, the enemy carried out 2 missile strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions, and also carried out more than 20 attacks from rocket salvo systems. There remains a threat of the enemy launching air and missile strikes on civilian infrastructure objects throughout the territory of Ukraine," - it is said in the message.
In the Volyn and Poliske directions, the situation remains without significant changes, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy shelled the areas of Seredyna-Buda and Ryasne settlements of the Sumy region, as well as Strelecha, Staritsa, Ambarne, Vilkhuvatka, Dvorichna and Krasne in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk, Kislivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabaivka, Berestov in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka and Myasozharivka in the Luhansk region were shelled by tanks and the entire spectrum of artillery.
In the Lymansky direction, the enemy fired tanks and artillery at the areas of populated areas: Grekivka, Ploshanka and Nevske of the Luhansk region, as well as Terny, Yampolivka of the Donetsk region.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy fired at the positions of the Defense Forces from tanks, mortars and rocket artillery in the areas of settlements: Verkhnokamyanske, Spirne, Bilogorivka, Vesele, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Chasiv Yar, Druzhba, Zalizne of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivsk direction, the enemy fired tanks and artillery of various types in the districts of almost twenty settlements, in particular: Avdiivka, Nevelske, Georgiivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region.
On the Novopavlivskyi direction, the enemy shelled areas near the settlements of Vremivka, Vugledar, Neskuchne, and Prechistivka in the Donetsk region with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to shell our positions and the civilian infrastructure of the settlements along the right bank of the Dnipro River.
He carried out shelling from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of more than 25 settlements, in particular: Plavni, Gulyaipole, Dorozhnyanka, Olhivske, Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Chornobayivka, Antonivka, Mykilske, Tokarivka, Mylové, Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
"For the purpose of replenishing the losses and replenishing the units of the first army corps of the occupying forces in the territory of Donetsk region, measures of forced mobilization have been intensified. Therefore, in the city of Horlivka, male persons are subject to conscription, in particular those with the mark "armor" in their military tickets," the General Staff emphasized.
Russia's war against Ukraine
On February 24, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of the territory of Ukraine.
The occupiers wanted to seize our state and change the government, but the Armed Forces gave a decent rebuff to the Russians and conducted three successful counteroffensives.
During his address to the leaders of the G7 countries, Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Russia to end the war and withdraw the occupying army from the territory of Ukraine by Christmas.
The Kremlin has already reacted to the Ukrainian leader's proposal and stated that they do not want peace and an end to the war.
Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the Ukrainian SSR, predicts that the war in Ukraine will end in the summer of 2023 with the withdrawal of the 1991 borders.
