The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced that the partner countries will provide the state with about one billion dollars to pass the winter period.

The head of the government said this after the conference initiated by Ukraine and France in Paris, Ukrinform reports.

"Our result of the conference is 

about 500 million dollars in grant funds

, completely new funds that were agreed upon at this conference. And about 500 million dollars in goods, services and additional loans for additional support of enterprises of the state sector of the economy," Shmyhal said.

He clarified that Ukraine will receive 125 million euros from France for

generators, LED lamps

and maintenance of the Southern Ukrainian NPP.

From Spain – 163 units of various

equipment for substations

, and from Canada – 50 lighting towers for repairing energy facilities at night.

"The main result of the day is very specific help to Ukraine, so that we get through this winter with the least losses. We have created an effective and efficient platform of solidarity with Ukraine. It will summarize information about our needs and provide a mechanism for an instant response from our partners," the prime minister wrote on the Web .

It will be recalled that earlier the ambassadors of the EU countries unanimously agreed on a package of financial aid for Ukraine in the amount of 18 billion euros.

Note that Canada has already handed over 15 generator lighting towers to Ukraine to ensure the work of energy workers in the dark.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in order to survive the winter, Ukraine needs several categories of equipment: transformers, equipment for restoring high-voltage networks, gas turbine and gas piston power units, electricity supply from EU countries, more gas and directing special missions to critical energy infrastructure facilities .
