Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov took part in the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Turkey and Turkmenistan in Avaza, Turkmenistan.

According to the information provided to APA by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the First Summit Meeting of the Heads of State of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Turkey and Turkmenistan, which will take place on December 14, 2022, will be held in various fields, including energy, trade, customs, transport, education and culture. the documents to be adopted, as well as the prospects for the development of the Azerbaijan-Turkey-Turkmenistan tripartite format were exchanged.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that the First Summit of Azerbaijan-Turkey-Turkmenistan Heads of State to be held on December 14, 2022 will play an important role in the development of the tripartite dialogue between our countries.

The development of relations between the three states within the framework of international organizations, including the Organization of Turkic States, was noted with satisfaction.

Confidence was expressed that the tripartite cooperation format between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan will contribute to the full use of the transport and transit potential of the region, and at the same time to the strengthening of the East-West Trans-Caspian transport corridor.

In this regard, it was stated that the activity of Azerbaijan in the direction of creation of new transport infrastructure in the territories freed from occupation, including the opening of the Zangezur corridor, is of particular importance.

It was said that the increasing relevance of the energy security factor against the background of the events taking place in the world testifies to the importance of strengthening efforts in this field between our countries.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also gave detailed information about the large-scale restoration and construction works carried out in the direction of eliminating the consequences of the 30-year occupation by Azerbaijan, as well as ensuring the safe return of our displaced citizens.

In this regard, it was stated that the threat of landmines is a serious obstacle to the restoration and construction works in the region, including the advancement of the peace agenda.
