A debate was held in the European Parliament in Strasbourg on the implementation report of the new European program for culture and the EU strategy for international cultural relations.

It is an ecosystem for innovation and a catalyst for the growth of European economies.

In three years, we made culture so high on the European agenda for the first time.

Examples are the Creative Europe and Horizon Europe programmes, the New European Bauhaus and the Structural Dialogue Voices of the Cultural Sector.

With the new European program for culture, we are building on what has been achieved in three key dimensions - social, economic and international," commented Maria Gabriel

"First, culture has the power to bring people together," stressed Commissioner Gabriel.

Its new Culture Moves Europe initiative, with a record budget of €21 million, will support the mobility of people in the arts and culture.

The goal is to implement 7,000 projects in three years (2022-2025).
