The Gujarat Police on Tuesday arrested a 33-year-old man from Surat for allegedly working for Pakistani spy agency 'Inter-Services Intelligence' (ISI) and spying.

Official sources gave this information.

He told that on the basis of military intelligence received from the Pune-based Southern Command of the Army, the Crime Branch team arrested a person named Deepak Kishore Bhai Salunkhe from Surat.

The man, a resident of Surat's Bhuvaneshwari Nagar, is a shopkeeper and sources have identified his shop as 'Sai Fashions'. "The ISI agent has been handed over to the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Gujarat Police for further action," said a source. ) is being handed over." Sources said Salunkhe "used to run money laundering operations and give money to current officials and civilians in return for vital information".

"He was in touch with his two handlers in Pakistan, Hameed and Kashif, and was in the process of sharing sensitive information with them," the source said.
