Starting with setting the table, because there are certain rituals to ensure a good economy and harvest, the very process of dinner, after which we go caroling with friends. The next day we go to church and also carol. In general, Christmas - this is 1000 and one carols. As for lightning, we try to preserve traditions, so our costumes mostly have the same look as they did 100 years ago. We reconstruct the images, prepare the same masks and continue to sing the same songs, conduct rituals, as it used to be, and we popularize it not only in our village, but also involve friends from big cities," Dmytro Mazuryak explained in detail.

"When we were little, we perceived this holiday as an opportunity to make extra money. We learned some carols, sang them and received some money and candies in pennies. Indeed, we were happy when we gave money, with which we could buy our favorite sweets. I remember how once for Christmas money went to the movies to see "The Terminator". Now, personally, it is quite difficult for me to imagine a celebration. Therefore, this year I will celebrate Christmas at work. However, I believe that our children should have a holiday, despite all the attempts of our enemy to destroy everything," the host emphasized .

Pianoboy

"Our festive table is never complete without a kutia. My grandmother Nina always took a responsible approach to the holiday, there were always 12 dishes on the table, and she prepared a fantastic kutia. However, personally, I always waited for the same "Napoleon" cake, everyone knew about it , that's why it was prepared. Currently, in addition to getting together, we have another Christmas tradition - we listen to jazz on the festive evening. Of course, we can't do without Frank Sinatra," the musician said.

A representative of the younger generation of

SHUMEI

However, we cannot do without traditions. Every year we go around the house, sprinkle it with holy water, even stable, because there is a farm in our native Valley. In fact, there are a lot of traditions, and we try to remember and honor them," shared SHUMEI.

We would like to remind you that according to the format of the Christmas project, for the first time Ukrainian artists, military personnel, volunteers, cultural figures, representatives of the State Emergency Service and other services will gather in a private and cozy atmosphere to share their Christmas traditions and childhood memories.

The audience can expect unexpected musical collaborations, Ukrainian songs that became hits during the full-scale war, as well as authentic Christmas carols in a modern musical setting.
