"We have been here for two days.

Active members of the civil society of Azerbaijan have gathered for this action and we are raising our slogans.

Amil Mammadov, chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, told this to the employee of APA sent to Shusha.

He said that the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits, especially the Kizybulag gold and Demirli copper-molybdenum deposits in the areas under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers, was condoned and these facts were established.

According to Amil Mammadov, according to the agreement reached with the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, monitoring was to be carried out in the above-mentioned fields, but a group of separatists there tried to obstruct this process.

Russian peacekeepers did not take necessary measures to prevent this.

The chairman of the Public Council reminded that about 30 ecologically oriented non-governmental organizations addressed the appeal to the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent: "Although the appeal was addressed directly to the commander of the peacekeepers, Major General Andrey Volkov, he has not been answered yet.

All the activists have gathered here since yesterday morning.

We demand that Volkov come here and give an explanation and answer on all these issues."

He noted that yesterday Volkov's deputy promised about his future: "That colonel is also hiding and does not come here anymore.

They damaged the reputation of the Russian army and General Volkov.

Members of the civil society are not going to withdraw from here.

This action will continue until Volkov arrives."
