In 2014,

Russia

 attacked Ukraine and violated international law.

For eight years now, the Russian Federation has been terrorizing Ukraine with shelling.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, wrote about this on Twitter.

He proposed to fix the basics:

  • The Russian Federation first attacked Ukraine in 2014, seizing Donbas and Crimea;

  • Donbas and Crimea - occupied territories of Ukraine;

  • Russia attacks Ukraine with hundreds of cruise missiles from its territory, totally violating international law.

"Understanding this will help make the right decisions," he emphasized.

Russian aggression against Ukraine

In the spring of 2014, Russia invaded the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions after the annexation of the

Crimean

peninsula .

Subsequently, the creation of the illegal terrorist republics "DPR" and "LPR" was announced.

Russian President Vladimir Putin officially recognized the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" on

February 21, 2022

.

In the presence of militant leaders Denis Pushylin and Leonid Pasichnyk, Putin signed agreements on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance between the Russian Federation and the "LDNR".

And early in the morning of February 24,

Putin announced a "special military operation"

to "protect" Donbass - effectively starting a full-scale war against Ukraine.
