Statement of Aam Aadmi Party MLA

New Delhi:

If sources are to be believed in Gujarat, seeing the poor performance of the Aam Aadmi Party, a section of its MLAs is looking towards the BJP.

One of them, Bhupat Bhayani, has denied that he is officially looking for a way out of the party, but he also said that 'public opinion' matters on this matter.

The remark is in contrast to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal's claim that "none of my diamonds is for sale".

Through this, he had claimed that none of his leaders would change the party.

Bhayani said in an exclusive interview to NDTV that I have not joined the BJP, but I will ask the public whether I should join the BJP or not. Will not be able to do anything for those who voted for him.

My seat belongs to the area of farmers.

I have to solve their irrigation problems.

There are also many businessmen in this area, I have to help them too.

If the relations with the government are not good then I will not be able to do anything for them.

I have put my demands before the government.

Got positive response.

Now I will take the advice of the public and the leaders.

He also said that the people of Gujarat have given record mandate to Narendra Modi and BJP.

I respect it.

I was with BJP earlier and have good relations with the leaders.

Let us inform that Bhayani was earlier in BJP and joined AAP after becoming a rebel.

He attributed his victory from Visavadar constituency in Junagadh district to his work as a BJP MLA.

He said that people know me.

Asked about the possibility of the anti-defection law being invoked, Bhayani dismissed it.

He said that India is a democratic country and it is my right to work for the people.
