The head of the joint coordination press center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Nataliya Gumenyuk, informed about the current situation in the southern direction and warned about the danger of launching enemy drones from the Sea of Azov.

She told about this on December 12 on the air of the telethon.

So, according to her, the situation in the southern direction remains tense.

"The situation in the southern direction of the front is quite tense, the enemy continues insidious shelling of the right bank, they continue to shell Kherson, the suburbs and other settlements located near the water, as well as deeper - in the area of Chornobayivka and deeper - up to 15-20 km deep. That's why we have to be very careful," she said, adding that despite the enemy's actions, the Armed Forces continue to exhaust the enemy on the left bank.

At the same time, Humenyuk warned about the danger of launching kamikaze drones from the Sea of Azov.

"The threat remains because the weather conditions are not critical. They (ed. - Iranian drones) are not specifically afraid of temperature, more critical for them are temperature drops, as well as gusty winds. We hope that the storm will harm them," she said.

It is worth noting that last week, after a rather long break, the Russian Federation again began to attack Ukraine with Iranian kamikaze drones.

Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that the invaders

are launching

them from the waters of the Sea of Azov - from the eastern part of the Sea of Azov, Krasnodar Territory.

We will remind you that on the night of December 10, the Russian invaders

attacked the southern regions of Ukraine with Iranian drones

.

Many Shahed-136s were shot down.

However, energy facilities were hit, in particular in Odesa, where the situation with light was very critical.
