In

Britain (UK),

some Conservative MPs are planning to vacate their parliamentary constituencies in view of the possibility of Prime Minister

Rishi Sunak 's party getting a tough situation in the upcoming general election.

According to Bloomberg's report,

Tory members of parliament have been informing their local colleagues and party headquarters for the past few days whether they want to stand in the next election or not.

Elections are to be held in Britain before January 2025.

Because it is expected that a large number of Tory MPs will give up their seats, a major reshuffle of these seats is being announced at the next election.

Given the mood of Tory MPs in the hard-fought constituencies, there is little hope that Rishi Sunak will be able to pull off a miracle.

In the 1990s, during John Major's prime ministership, the opposition party led by Tony Blair "chikin'" Conservative Party MPs fighting to secure seats, and the process came to be known as the chikin run.

The same situation seems to be happening once again in British politics.

At that time, the leaders of the party had turned towards the safe seats by thanking the people of their area for giving them an opportunity to serve and something similar seems to be happening this time too.

This will pose a big challenge to Rishi Sunak to ensure his party's victory in the next election of UK politics.
