Moldova prefers to withdraw from a number of agreements within the framework of the CIS, and its President Maya Sandu does not participate in the summits of the Union.

According to APA's Moscow correspondent, the press secretary of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, said this in response to the journalists' question about whether Sandun will come to the informal summit of the CIS to be held in St. Petersburg.

"Sandu himself recently spoke about the fact that, based on pragmatic considerations, Moldova prefers to withdraw from a number of agreements within the framework of the CIS.

"Sandu himself, as you know, does not participate in CIS summits," Peskov stressed.

It should be noted that a traditional informal summit of CIS leaders will be held in St. Petersburg before the New Year.
