a pseudo-referendum

were detained .

This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to the investigation, from September 23 to 27, 2022, during the occupation of Beryslav district, the suspects collected votes for a pseudo-referendum on the exit of Kherson region from Ukraine and joining the Russian Federation.

They came to the homes of local residents in several villages of the district, distributing so-called "ballots" to them for voting.

At the same time, it was recommended to mark "for".

After that, the suspects handed over the used ballots to the head of the illegally created election commission for further falsification of the results.
