BSP will not support the project cabinet of Prof. Nikolay Gabrovski, because GERB is behind it.

This became clear from the words of Yavor Gechev from "BSP for Bulgaria", who was a guest on "The Day Begins".

"You don't think that Prof. Gabrovski composed his cabinet himself? These are conversations for people in kindergarten. Regardless, as a candidate for prime minister, he certainly has some freedom, but without coordinating the composition with the party that raises, this is neither proper nor logical. So, in any case, Borisov and his team are behind the cabinet that will be presented. We have stated that we will not participate in a coalition government, behind which stands GERB, DPS or " Revival". The team that will be presented today is certainly backed by GERB", he pointed out.

Gechev was categorical that "BSP for Bulgaria" will not resort to procedural tricks in the plenary hall to help elect a cabinet.

"I do not support games with the quorum like walking out of the hall and playing with the majority and the minority. If this government is elected with such games, it cannot last long because it cannot hide from the people. The BSP wants to have a regular cabinet because this is what Bulgaria needs. But this cannot be done at any cost - we need to see what kind of cabinet, with what program and composition," he said.

Gechev also commented on the decision of the PG of "BSP for Bulgaria" to exclude Yavor Bozhankov from the group because of his speech from the parliamentary rostrum in support of the provision of weapons to Ukraine.

"Yavor Bozhankov himself became a black sheep because he was elected with the votes of supporters and sympathizers of the BSP and he decided to betray them. So this is his decision, it is not fatal. It also happens in other parties. Of course , it is unpleasant and has consequences, but I don't think that this is the main problem of Bulgaria and the BSP. The BSP is a strong enough party not to be affected by these ramifications.

According to Gechev Bozhankov, he clearly made this decision, guided by his own incentives.

"We have a decision of a collective body - the National Council on the issue of the war in Ukraine, so we say the different opinions to the National Council, in front of the parliamentary group, but when there is a decision, it is followed. If you don't agree with it, you don't vote, but when you have a decision of the National Council of the party and you not only do not vote, but you go to the rostrum and attack the party that nominated you and your colleagues and say: "I am smarter than you", this crosses all boundaries", commented he too..

Rumen Gechev also said that if the third mandate goes to the BSP, the socialists will begin immediate efforts to form a cabinet.

However, they are not inclined to a coalition with GERB and DPS.

He commented with irony on the proposal of GERB leader Boyko Borisov, Prof. Nikolay Gabrovski, to be the nomination for prime minister for the third term as well, if it comes to that.

"Borisov has a good sense of humor - for GERB to propose the third mandate of who will be prime minister?! There is no such practice in the world, this is some kind of political innovation, let's see! It won't be with GERB's mandate, but it will be with GERB's prime minister, which cheers me up too because I have a sense of humor," he said.
