Nearly 700,000 Russians have fled to Georgia since the beginning of the mobilization, it is clear from the words of the country's president, Salome Zurabishvili, published on UNIAN's Telegram channel.

According to her, about a hundred thousand remained there, the rest went on to European countries, Armenia and Turkey. 

260,000 people fled Russia within days of mobilization being announced.

A 50-kilometer traffic jam formed at Russia's Verkhniy Lars crossing point with Georgia, people standing in line for hours.
