Reacting to Manoj's statement, BJP leader Umesh Rai said that the entire West Bengal government is like the film 'Pushpa' and his remarks reflect the character of his party.

Manoj Tiwari's comments came at a Trinamool rally on Sunday. The cricketer-turned-politician, who is now the Minister of State for Sports, asked his party supporters to remain united.

Instructing BJP workers to 'open their ears' and listen to the dialogues of the film 'Pushpa', Tiwari said, "Jhukega nahi ****".

His remarks triggered a political backlash soon after, with Tiwari apologizing during a media briefing.
