The Ukrainian authorities allocated 50 million hryvnias or about one million and 367 thousand dollars for urgent repair works on the infrastructure in the Sumy region and the purchase of hundreds of stoves for the people of the Donetsk region, reports BNR.

The administration in the Poltava region will receive twice as much funds for the restoration of the heat supply system in the city of Kremenchuk.

Heating has been partially restored in Odesa and Kherson regions, but the situation in the Kharkiv and Donetsk region remains the most complicated, the office says.

In his late video address, President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the difficult situation at the front.

Ukraine is facing significant power shortages following the Russian attacks

"The situation on the front remains very difficult in key directions in Donbass: Bakhmut, Soledar, Marinka, Kremennaya. On the ground, there has long been no solid, undamaged by shells and shelled place. The occupiers actually destroyed Bakhmut - another city in Donbass, which the Russian army reduced to burnt ruins."

Meanwhile, the head of the administration of the Luhansk region, Serhii Gaidai, said that heavy fighting is taking place along the Svatovo-Kremennaya route, but added that the Ukrainian military is keeping the road under control, which is slowing down the Russian advance.

Gaidai predicts liberation of the entire area in 2023.

Washington will provide Ukraine with another $275 million military aid package to help it strengthen its air defenses.

According to the report, the Pentagon's new military aid is likely to include missiles for the Hymars multiple-launch rocket systems, Humvee all-terrain vehicles, generators and 155mm artillery shells.

At the same time, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the war in Ukraine could get out of control and turn into a war between Russia and NATO.

In an interview with the Norwegian Broadcasting Company, Stoltenberg said the alliance was "working every day to avoid this".

The Kremlin has repeatedly accused NATO allies of actually participating in the war, as they supply Ukraine with weapons, train its soldiers and provide it with military intelligence.
