Today, the 145th anniversary of the liberation of Pleven will be celebrated with a solemn ritual, the municipality reports.

According to tradition, the celebration will take place on the central square "Vazrazhdane" in front of the chapel-mausoleum "St. George the Victorious".

The memorial service in memory of the heroes of the Pleven epic will be performed by priests from the city's temples.

Mayor Georg Spartanski will deliver a speech on the occasion of 145 years since the historic December 10, 1877.

Wreaths and flowers will be presented at the Eternal Flame as a sign of gratitude to the liberating warriors.

The ritual starts at 11:00.

At 12:30 in the hall of the Drama and Puppet Theater "Ivan Radoev" there will be a solemn concert of the Pleven Philharmonic and the Municipal Choir "Gena Dimitrova" with conductor Deyan Pavlov.
