Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, responded to the Kremlin leader Putin's statement that the Russian Federation planned to attack Ukraine earlier than February 24.

The official assured that Russia will have to learn to respect international law, whether it does so or not.

Podolyak wrote about this on his Twitter page.

"Putin does not regret that he started the genocide of Ukraine, but regrets that he did not start earlier. A good reminder to all fans of a compromise with the devil with whom they are dealing. The Russian Federation will have to learn to respect international law and accept the realities "on the ground".

They will comply with its borders 1991,"

his post reads.

It will be recalled that on Friday, December 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he planned to launch the so-called "SVO", and in fact a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, earlier than July 24, but

expected to negotiate within the framework of "Minsk-2".

Putin also

spoke again that the Russian Federation was preparing for negotiations with Ukraine,

 but he wanted security guarantees.
