Between BGN 840 and BGN 860 will be the minimum wage from 2023, it depends on the formulas, there are two of them, if this is accepted in the second reading in the National Assembly, economist Georgi Angelov told BTV.

It was the same before the coronavirus - the minimum wage was 50% of the average.

Nina happy.

The minimum wage will be raised from 2023.

"In Sofia, however, this will have no effect.

Salaries are much higher here.

There will be an effect in Vidin, in Smolyan, for example," he said.

"With the increase in the minimum wage, people will not get richer, they will get back to what they were before COVID," explained the economist.

According to him, it was a huge mistake not to adopt a budget.

Now, according to him, total chaos reigns.

Angelov believes that the state will win if people have higher salaries, because then there will be more revenue in the budget.

"Wages have lagged because of inflation, but things are expected to change next year," he said.

The economist also commented on the high prices.

According to him, prices will not go down, but maybe they will stop growing.

Many of the businesses are making big profits at the moment and wages could be raised.

The question now is that incomes grow more than inflation, Angelov is categorical.
