A man from Antonovo was arrested for distribution of high-risk narcotics.

He was found yesterday around 18:00 at the time of a transaction, Ani Krasteva, the spokesperson of the Regional Directorate (OD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Targovishte, informed BTA. 

During subsequent procedural-investigative actions in a house in the city, owned by a 54-year-old man from the village, it was established that he sells and distributes high-risk narcotics - cannabis and methamphetamine.

In the course of the procedural actions, the man voluntarily handed over 158 grams of cannabis, 180 grams of methamphetamine, three gas pistols, a grinder and two electronic scales to the law enforcement authorities.

Krasteva explained that gas pistols are not registered, which is the regime they are generally subject to.

The man was detained at the Omurtag Regional Police Department.

Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.

The detention is part of the specialized operation of the prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs - action "White", which takes place throughout the country.

During the past 24 hours, one driver was found to have been driving under the influence of a narcotic substance in the territory served by the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Targovishte.

Two other people were detained in RU-Targovishte with a police measure for possession of a narcotic substance.

A pre-trial proceeding was initiated against a man from the village of Bukhovtsi for possession of a dry green grass mass weighing 125 grams, which, in a field drug test, reacted to the narcotic substance synthetic cannabinoids.
