[Reporter Lin Jiadong/New Taipei Report] A man in New Taipei City held a gas barrel in his residence on Huanhe Road, Xizhi District, and threatened to seek harm today (9th) afternoon. Suddenly, the gas barrel exploded instantly, and the man died on the spot; 2 firefighters from the Xizhi Fire Brigade He was cut by the shattered glass during rescue, and he was conscious when he was sent to the hospital.

The New Taipei City Fire Department received a report at 4:00 p.m. today that someone threatened to commit suicide by turning on gas at Lane 122, Huanhe Road, Xizhi District. The house caught fire instantly and the owner died on the spot.

Due to the gas explosion, there was a loud noise, the house was damaged, and the neighbors fled.

When the gas exploded, two firefighters from the Sixth Disaster Rescue and Rescue Brigade were cut by shattered glass and were conscious when they were sent to the hospital.
