Tite, the head coach of the Brazilian national team, announced his resignation after losing to Croatia in the 1/4 finals of the 2022 World Cup on penalties.

Apasport.az reports that he said the following about this:

"The defeat is painful, but I am calm.

This is the end of my time in the national team."

It should be noted that the 61-year-old specialist led the Brazilian national team since 2016.

Under his leadership, the team lost to Belgium in the 2018 World Cup and Croatia in 2022.

In both cases, the team could advance only to the 1/4 finals.

The Brazilian national team won only the Copa America (2019) under his leadership.
