On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh told NDTV that the election was fought and won in the name of her husband Virbhadra Singh and it would be wrong to sideline his family.

Please tell that Virbhadra Singh had passed away only last year.

Pratibha Singh further said that I feel that I can lead the state as the Chief Minister, because Sonia ji and the high command have given me the responsibility to lead the party before the elections."

He said that when the election was fought and won in the name of Virbhadra Singh, it would not be right to sideline Virbhadra Singh's family.

We won 40 seats only because people have a deep emotional connect with Virbhadra Singh.

Top Congress leaders will hold a meeting with the newly elected Congress MLAs in Shimla at 3 pm to discuss the Chief Minister.

Former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has been a strong leader of Himachal Pradesh and he died last year.
