British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, during a telephone conversation on Friday, December 9, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised to send new air defense equipment in the near future.

This is stated in the press release based on the results of the conversation between the two politicians, published on the website of the British government.

"The leaders discussed the new wave of Russian attacks on critical national infrastructure in Ukraine. 

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in intercepting dozens of potentially devastating missiles this week and said that the UK's thoughts are with the Ukrainian people as they continue to defend their country throughout the winter. 

Updating the latest deliveries of lethal aid from the UK, the Prime Minister said

more anti-aircraft weapons and short-range air defense missiles would arrive in the coming weeks

, the statement said. 

During the conversation, the prime minister stressed that Putin must withdraw his troops before any deal can be considered.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy published a fragment of the video of their phone conversation and signed: "As friends and allies, it is vital for us to maintain a constant dialogue."
