Ingredients of Sevai Upma- 

  • 1/2 cup vermicelli

  • 1 large onion

  • 1 medium bell pepper

  • 1 medium carrot

  • 10 green beans

  • 1 green chili

  • 2 stalks curry leaves

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 1 dry red chili

  • salt as needed

  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

  • 2 tbsp virgin olive oil 

  • 2 tbsp raw peanuts

  • 2 tbsp cashews

How To Make Sevai Upma- How To Make Semiya Upma Recipe: 

prepare tempering

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan.

Add mustard seeds, dry red chilies, curry leaves and finely chopped green chilies.

Let the ingredients crackle for a minute.

In the next step add chopped onions and fry for two minutes.

Also add chopped carrots, green beans and capsicum.

Fry for a minute and add salt as per taste.

 Add vermicelli with 1 cup of water.

Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook on medium heat.

Roast Peanuts and Cashews

Meanwhile, heat 1 tbsp oil in a separate pan.

Add peanuts and cashews.

Fry them till their color turns golden brown.

Once the vermicelli absorbs all the water, it is ready to be served.

Add peanuts, cashews and black pepper powder.

Mix final.
