In the first eight months of this year, the chemical industry in our country achieved a 45 percent increase in exports, which is worth BGN 7.2 billion, Minister of Economy Nikola Stoyanov said today in Varna

Nikola Stoyanov was born in 1976 in Sofia.

Graduated in Law at Sofia University.

He is a guest at the celebrations on the occasion of 25 years since the privatization of the largest soda plant in Europe - "Solvay Sodi" in Devnya.

Minister Stoyanov specified that about 13 thousand people are employed in this sector.

A huge share of the realized exports falls precisely on Solvay Sodi, the minister pointed out.

According to him, the state will continue to work with strategic employers in the industry so that the staff can have a perspective for development.

The minister recalled that the plant in Devnya makes large investments in various projects aimed at reducing the carbon footprint.

According to him, the enterprise is a good example of sustainability and will remain among the world leaders in the 21st century.

Due to the energy crisis, the state will continue to compensate the companies, added Stoyanov.

According to him, the decision of the National Assembly in this direction will help the Bulgarian business to become more competitive.

The minister also commented that in December the price of gas will be slightly higher and assured that the government will plead with the people's representatives to accept that the companies receive compensation if it rises above BGN 200.

The minister added that the state policy on fuel prices is stable, Lukoil is about to move its operations to Bulgaria, and the company's excess profit will be taxed.

When asked about the realized investments in our country this year, he pointed out that politicians are trying to exploit the topic, but the exact figures will become clear in March next year at the earliest.

Stoyanov specified that until then there is no point in commenting, but the interest of investors in our country is very high.
