On December 9, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Azerbaijan Ralf Hörleman.

APA was told by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the minister congratulated the ambassador on his new appointment and wished success in his activities in the direction of the development of Azerbaijan-Germany relations.

Emphasizing the importance of developing bilateral relations with Germany, which is celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year, he recalled with pleasure his visit to Germany in March of this year and the meetings he held with Foreign Minister Annalena Beerbok.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the bilateral and regional situation, issues related to energy security.

Azerbaijan's work and prospects in the field of energy security, export of energy resources to Europe and development of alternative energy resources were discussed.

At the meeting, the other side was also informed about the current regional situation after the 44-day Patriotic War, peace-building efforts, reconstruction works in the liberated territories, as well as "green energy" projects in the liberated territories.

Ambassador Hörleman Manig conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and emphasized that Azerbaijan is an important economic partner for Germany in the South Caucasus.

Historical relations between Azerbaijan and Germany have been reviewed.

The ambassador said that it is necessary to further develop cooperation between our countries in energy and other fields.

Later, humanitarian and cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Germany, as well as other issues of mutual interest, were discussed.
