New Delhi:

The Congress has suffered a major setback in Delhi.

The party's state vice-president and two newly elected councilors of the Congress who won the municipal elections have joined the Aam Aadmi Party.

Mustafabad councilor Sabila Begum and Brijpuri councilor Nazia Khatoon have joined AAP along with Delhi Congress Vice President Ali Mehndi.

After the joining of these two newly elected Congress councilors in Aam Aadmi Party, the number of AAP councilors in MCD will be 136.

At the same time, the number of councilors of Congress will be reduced from 9 to 7.
