Shannon Root, who has autism and cerebral palsy, has filed a lawsuit against Backstreet Boys musician Nick Carter, accusing him of raping her when she was a minor.

The victim is seeking $30 million in damages, the New York Post reported, citing Darrick.

After the band's concert in 2001, Carter invited the then 17-year-old Ruth onto his tour bus after seeing the girl in line for an autograph.

She claims the singer treated her to a drink called VIP juice and sexually assaulted her.

"I begged him over and over again to stop," Ruth, 39, was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
