On December 7 of this year, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov met with the Secretary General of ASEAN Dato Lim Lock Hoi at the housing headquarters of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) within the framework of his visit to the Republic of Indonesia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that during the meeting, it was noted that Azerbaijan paid special attention to cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

Recalling that Indonesia will chair ASEAN in 2023, Azerbaijan expressed interest in expanding cooperation with ASEAN and taking practical steps in this direction.

Dato Lim Lock Hoi was thanked for accepting the

Azerbaijan Milli Majlis as an observer in the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA

) .

AIPA .

During the meeting, E. Mammadov expressed his satisfaction with the acceptance of the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis as an observer at the 43rd General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly held in Cambodia on November 23, 2022.

He expressed his belief that the relations between the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis and AIPA will be developed more dynamically from now on.

Within the framework of the visit, Elnur Mammadov met with Ambassador Diar Nurbintoro, director of the South-South Technical Cooperation Center of the Non-Aligned Movement.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the productive activities of Azerbaijan within the framework of the chairmanship of the Movement.

Mammadov noted that 30 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries will be completed in 2022, and gave extensive information about the agenda of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Indonesia in various fields, both bilaterally and multilaterally, during these years. also drew attention to the existence of potential for development.

Within the framework of the visit, the delegation headed by Deputy Minister E.
