A man filed a false report of an attempt to rape his granddaughter and stabbed a driver in traffic in Plevensko, the police said.

On December 7, a 25-year-old man reported an accident while traveling with his car from Dolna Mitropolia to the village of Stavertsi.

While he was driving, a 57-year-old passenger stabbed him with a knife.

The injured driver managed to leave the car and was located on the road at the entrance to the village of Bregare by a car patrol.

He was transported to a Pleven hospital, and his life is not in danger.

That evening at 11:02 p.m., the 57-year-old passenger reported that his 12-year-old granddaughter had been the victim of an attempted sexual assault.

According to his account, the crime was committed in the same car owned by the 25-year-old man.

Uniformed officers have located the location and the victims and an investigation has begun.

It was clarified that there was no attempted rape, and the minor was warned by her grandfather to support his version.

After visiting a private home in Dolna Mitropolia and on his way to the village of Stavertsi, the 57-year-old attacked the driver of the car with a knife.

A false alarm had the police on their toes

After the victim left the car, the perpetrator managed to move his car to Stavertsi.
