Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced plans to deploy new K2 tanks on the border with Kaliningrad of the Russian Federation.

Weapons will be delivered to military units.

Polska Zbrojna writes about it.

"Whoever saves on the army will pay a big bill. All of Russia's neighbors are aware of the threat that this neighborhood poses. Therefore, recently, especially in the last few years, we have made a huge effort to strengthen and modernize the Polish army. We want to have such a strong army,

so well modernized that no one would think of attacking Poland

," Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said.

The head of the Ministry of Defense noted that the K2 tank is one of the most modern in the world and was developed in the 21st century.

Further deliveries are planned for next year.

They will be transferred to the 16th mechanized division.

And after 2026,

K2 will be produced in Poland.

"Soldiers are well prepared for the effective defense of the Motherland, as evidenced by their daily service, in particular on the border between Poland and Belarus or Poland and the Kaliningrad region," Blaszczak assured.

He added that

some tank crews are still undergoing training in Korea

.

Eventually, a battalion of K2 tanks will be stationed in Mazury, and such a unit will also be created in Ostrava, where the process of restoring the unit that was liquidated in 2011 will soon begin.

It will be recalled that earlier it was reported that Poland will buy more than a hundred Abrams tanks from the USA.
