The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that mine is more cruel than the rocket terror of the occupiers.

The Russians deliberately leave death traps to kill as many Ukrainians as possible.

He said this on December 8 during his traditional address.

"Terrorists are deliberately trying to leave behind as many deadly traps as possible. Buried landmines, streamers, mined buildings, cars and infrastructure... We are talking about more than 170,000 square kilometers of dangerous territory. I am sure: this will be among the charges against Russia for aggression - specifically landmines terror. Which is even crueler and meaner than missile, because there is no anti-mine system that could destroy at least part of the threat, as our air defense does," the president emphasized.

Zelenskyi also thanked the international partners who help Ukraine with mine countermeasures.

"Canada, Japan, Great Britain, Slovakia, ambassadors and donors of United24 and many, many others who understand how important it is that Ukraine is not left alone with the problem of the territory mined by the occupiers," the president said.

Mine terror against Ukraine

Russian terrorists are randomly mining the territory of Ukraine, trying to make our lands dangerous and uninhabitable.

So, in the Kherson region on Wednesday, December 7, four policemen were killed while carrying out stabilization measures in the region.

Law enforcement officers were blown up by Russian landmines.

Among the dead is the head of the National Police of the Cherkasy region Mykhailo Kuratchenko.

In October, a colonel of the National Police was killed during demining in the Kherson region.

Similar situations in all regions where the invaders managed to visit.

Civilians are still blown up on landmines.

So, in the Olivska community of Zhytomyr Oblast, a car blew up with a minibus - a couple died.

8 children became orphans.

The State Emergency Service reported that

about 175,000 square kilometers of territory remain potentially dangerous due to explosive objects in Ukraine.
